DRIVER'S LICENSE
- Drivers must have a California Driver’s License with a minimum of one year driving experience & be a minimum 25 years of age.
BACKGROUND CHECK
- Drivers must give permission for and pass a criminal background & driving history check.
INSURANCE & DOCUMENTS
- Drivers must provide a photocopy of their insurance coverage plan for the vehicle being used in service.
DRIVER TRAINING PROGRAM
- Drivers must complete the LoCal Rides driver education program.
VEHICLE
- Drivers must have their vehicle pass a 19-point inspection by a facility licensed by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair.
- Each vehicle registered under your account must meet the following minimum requirements:
- 2010 Model or newer.
- 5-8 Seats, including the drivers.
- Four doors.
- Not a taxi, stretch limousine, or rental vehicle.
- Not titled as salvage, non-repairable, rebuilt or any other equivalent classification.
- California license plate**
**Drivers may upload a temporary license plate while waiting for a permanent plate number. Once you add a vehicle to your profile, you have 60 days to upload a permanent plate number.**
